QA Engineer

Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Full Time
Experienced
Role: QA Engineer
Experience: 2 years
Location: Hyderabad

About the role
We are hiring 2 QA Engineers with about 2 years of experience to join the Openprise QA team. You will
test our data automation platform, which connects to tools like Salesforce, HubSpot and Marketo, and
you will help grow our test automation.
What you will do
• Test new features, enhancements and bug fixes in each release, first in the test setup and then
in the stage setup.
• Read the issue, the linked code change (pull request) and the notes from developers, then write
clear test cases.
• Help build our new end-to-end UI test suite in Playwright from the start: pick the key user flows,
write the tests, and keep them stable.
• Write and maintain automated tests for our APIs and screens, mainly in Karate for APIs and
Playwright for the UI.
• Run the automated test suites, look into failures, and tell real bugs apart from test problems.
• Log bugs in GitHub with clear steps, screenshots or recordings, and the setup you used.
• Move issues through their QA states on time and add a short comment on what you tested and
what you found.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to understand what each change should
do.
• Help keep test data clean: create your own test data and remove it when you are done.
Must have
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on software testing, covering both manual and automated testing.
• At least 1 year writing automated tests for APIs (Karate, Rest Assured or Postman with scripts).
• Hands-on UI automation with Playwright (preferred) or Selenium, using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Good grasp of REST APIs and JSON: you can read a request and response and check the values.
• Basic SQL to check data in a database.
• Basic coding in JavaScript or TypeScript (for Playwright) and Java, enough to write and fix test
code.
• Experience with Git and GitHub: branches, pull requests and code reviews.
• Clear written English for bug reports and test cases.
• A curious mind: you ask why a test failed and dig until you know.
Nice to have
• Hands-on Karate experience (feature files, reusable calls, data-driven tests).
• Playwright features like page objects, fixtures, trace viewer and running tests in parallel.
• Experience testing SaaS products that connect to CRM or marketing tools such as Salesforce,
HubSpot or Marketo.

• Testing data pipelines or large data loads: imports, exports, record counts and data quality
checks.
• Running tests in CI, for example GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Performance testing basics, for example Gatling or JMeter.
• Using AI tools to write or review test cases faster.
Tools you will use
Area: Tools
API automation: Karate
UI automation: Playwright (new end-to-end suite), Selenium (existing tests)
Performance: Gatling
Code and issues: GitHub (issues, pull requests, project boards)
Connected apps under test: Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Google Drive and others

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
